Summer Time Sleepovers

During the school year, we run a pretty tight ship around our lazy house.

Shocking, isn't it?  I mean, considering we're becoming known more and more as "The Lazy Family" it seems a little like an oxymoron.  Or something.

[Oxymoron does mean contradictory, doesn't it? And it is all one word like that, isn't it? Geez, maybe just the moron part fits us better.]

But don't worry.  Come summer time, things get loose 'round these parts.  There.  Doesn't that make you feel better?

One of the things we let our kids do during the Summer months is to "sleepover" in each other's rooms.  They think it's a real treat for some reason, so we just go with it.

Most times my daughter spends the night up in her brothers' room, but on this particular night the boys were sleeping over in her room.

They just love it and I think it's sweet that they enjoy each other's company so much!

So what are some things you lax on during the Summer that you don't allow usually?  Tell me in the comments link below!

  2. Technically we are not in that stage, being my kids are younger but I do love that they want to be together. My kids actually share a room now, we'll see how long that lasts. But, very nice. I referred to you yesterday in my new Redeeming the time post that I am going to start doing on Wednesday's, feel free to check it out, maybe offer some pointers on my blog to my peeps. Have a great rest of the summer! www.breebee.com

  3. That is such a great idea having them take turns spending the night in each others rooms! Unfortunitly I was an only child and I wanted ALL my friends to always have a slumber party. Now obviously once in awhile was okay, but my parents didn't want people spending the night all the time. Great Blog!
