Do you all remember THIS POST I wrote way back in April?
It was a desperate cry for help. And try as you all might, no one knew the movie I was talking about. I even asked my brother and sister with the hopes that since we did all grow up together surely they would remember the movie that has haunted me for years, YEARS people.
But alas even they did not know what I was talking about.
*sigh*
Then. Out of nowhere on August 16th my brother texts me...
Watching an old movie I got of Ebay.... girl drying her hair out of the window! Didn't you ask about that a while back?
To which I responded...
Ahhhhhhhhh! Yes!
And then it happened. My years of name-that-movie-where-all-I-can-remember-is-the-opening-scene-that-haunts-me ended in the next text...
It's called Lot's of Luck! A Disney movie where Annette Funicello enters lots of contest and wins big but then loses it all.
And it all came rushing back. Yes. Yes, by golly. That WAS the movie! My search was over. My life made sense again. My world was set to rights. It was a glorious moment. A moment I will treasure forever.
*contented sigh*
Now if I could just get my hands on that movie. The library doesn't have it, and I despise movie rental stores remember? Maybe my dear ol' brother will send me his copy?

Fun! I'm not at all familiar with the movie, but I enjoyed reading your anecdote. And I can certainly sympathize with those "what was the name of that?" moments... :o)
