After two days of hosting a Blogmania giveaway and moderating comments night and day for all 688 comments I received, I HAVE to show you what my kitchen looks like.
It would only be decent of me.
And it will probably make you feel better about the state of your kitchen.
And that's all that really matters, my dear readers, you.
So for the betterment of YOU, my fellow lazy mom people, I will humiliate myself.
But brace yourself. It's scary.
I'll start you off slow by showing you one side of the sink.
Not bad. Definitely dirty, but not bad.
Wait....it gets worse.
The other half of the sink is out of control people.
But wait...it gets worse.
Yes that's right. This would be dirty dishes spillage on to the kitchen counter. That's how out of control my dishes are right now.
But wait...it STILL gets worse. *sigh*
This is the pots and pans graveyard corner of my counter. I'd be lying to you if I said these babies haven't been sitting here since... Oh, I don't know, MONDAY.
*hangs head and sighs*
Yes. I'm pitiful to the max.
And lazy.
Horribly lazy.

ReplyDeleteI hate doing dishes, but we've been battling w/ fruit flies for over a month so I've been very crazy about keeping my kitchen spotless lately!
I have been there! You know what though...your confessions make me feel so much better because I used to think that I was the only one that this has happened to and now I realize that I am not alone in this!!! So...thank-you from the bottom of my heart! :)
ReplyDeleteMy grandma told us to always have a sink full of hot soapy water when you cook so you can just give everything a quick wash and POOF no mess. Grandma was so wise! She has probably reached down from heaven many times to smack me as a reminder about this particular thing!
ReplyDeleteYou know you could get so many more dirty dishes in there if you would just organize a little..... it's sad that I just said that isn't it? I have to admit to doing it though.
ReplyDeleteLazy Dad here... the correction to the last picture is that some of the items in the Pot and Pan Graveyard... have been there since Lazy Dad made breakfast on Saturday morning!

ReplyDeleteSilly girl, don't leave them out in the open! I store mine in a wash tub under the sink. Well... that is when company is coming and I don't clean everything. ;o) Lazy tip.
