A Lazy Mom Thanksgiving: Lazy Pumpkin Pie

Now I ask you, what Thanksgiving is complete without a pumpkin pie?

Well... actually... MINE is.

I personally don't like pumpkin pie (don't hate).

But I realize that for the majority of the American public, this is not the case. So yesterday when a recipe for lazy pumpkin pie from Christina over at Get Joy landed in my inbox I just knew it would have to be posted today.

Side note: That's how good I am.  I just knew, *snap* like that.

Anyway, here's what Christina had to say about her lazy twist on a pumpkin pie...

I got this lazy recipe from a lady at my church, it is as easy as PIE! LOL
Now listen, I didn't say Christina was good in the joke department, I just said she has a lazy twist on pumpkin pie, mkay? *wink*

But you will want to hear her say this...
Prep time....like five minutes! And you could try using sugar free stuff to make it more healthy, I am gonna try it out for my diabetic dad!
Lazy Pumpkin Pie (aka: Pumpkin Pie Fluff)

1 can of pumpkin pie with spices
2 small packages of instant vanilla pudding mix
1 16oz tub of cool whip (softened)
1 graham cracker crust

Mix together pumpkin and dry pudding mix.  Fold in cool whip. Pour into the pie crust. Can be eaten right away or chilled in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Now, I just have two things to say...

Number 1: HELLO GORGEOUS.

Number 2: Even though I don't like pumpkin pie, I do think I would like this. A lot.

So thank you Christina for sharing your lazy Thanksgiving recipe with us!!

And for the rest of you! We aren't finished yet!  Check back later today for (dare I say it and you all pass out from excitement?) a LEFTOVER Thanksgiving Recipe!

AHHHHHH!

Yes, that's right.  Not only can you have A Lazy Mom Thanksgiving this year... now you can have a lazy recipe for your leftovers as well!

AHHHHHH!

Sorry I keep screaming. It's just too exciting not to scream over.

Hope I didn't hurt your ears.

See you later today!

  2. I might just have to try this to put a little twist on things. Last year I made pumpkin pie from a can and considered it scratch.

This year, I made one from a pumpkin!! I made the pumpkin puree myself...

    Now back to being lazy

  4. I have made this pie, but I take it up a notch : ) take and drizzle caramel ice cream topping and chopped pecans on the crust before the pie filling, then drizzle a little on the top.
