My family rolled into town Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It's been heartwarming and relaxing and hilarious and just downright fun.
My parents left this morning, but my sister is here until tomorrow. I'm going to be so sad when she leaves and here's why...
~ Since she's been here I've not touched a single stitch of laundry. Well, except for that one time I moved some towels over for her. She's totally taken my laundry pile on as her "mission in life." I think her goal is to get it totally completed.
Silly girl.
She should know it's NEVER completed. But I love 'er for it. I'm giving her a big fat A for effort. And I'm going to cry like a little girl when she leaves. In fact I may go into mourning for days and days over this reason alone.
~ We've been listening to old 80's and early 90's songs reminiscing together. She even downloaded some old New Kids on the Block videos and we've been laughing hysterically over them. *sigh* We just loved them.
Some other music highlights include... Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Milli Vanilli, Coolio, Michael Jackson and loads of others. Fun has been had by all.
All two of us.
~ Even though our snow has been packed down to practically sheets of ice, my sister and her daughter have tried their hardest to make a snow man, snow angels, snow balls and later... they want to attempt sledding.
Let's all remember, their from Texas, so snow on the ground is a novelty. And it reminds me of when snow was a novelty for me as well.
Yes, I'm going to miss her when she's gone. Until then we'll listen to more 80's music, I'll watch her do more of my laundry and we'll attempt sledding on snow that's practically shards of glass. And we'll love every minute of it.

Oh my goodness, can I borrow her when she leaves your house?!! I could sure use someone to help/do my laundry. You really should share, you know!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm so happy you were celebrating Christmas with your family.
What a precious post! Thank God for sisters like that huh? I have one of those too... and she's a gem for sure! Sounds like a great time! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Milli Vanilli can be considered a 'highlight'...
ReplyDeletewow- she does laundry! awesome!
I love my sister. I am lucky enough that she only lives 20 minutes away. I am glad you got to spend this time with yours.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a very close bond with your sister. I do as well, mine is 11 years younger than me, but we are very close. I doubt mine would do my laundry, but she used to do my dishes...if I paid her.
ReplyDeleteFeel free to stop my beginner's blog. http://rowellreviews.blogspot.com/
this makes me miss my sis too! (she always takes over my laundry, not that that's why i love her, but it helps!)
