Things I've been meaning to do....
1. Put this laundry away since last Friday.
2. Clean this coffee table off for two weeks now.
3. Ask Lazy Dad where this game came from and why it's been sitting on our table for three weeks.
4. Deliver this electric blanket I picked up for a friend four weeks ago.
5. Throw these tulips away I got for Valentine's Day.
6. Put a picture in this frame we got for Christmas.
7. Put plastic on our windows before winter sets in. *ahem*
8. Sew these Cub Scout badges on since September.

ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to clean out my jewelry cabinet and I combined it with a 30 day "wear a different outfit' challenge- because I have also been meaning to get out of a rut of wearing the same outfit 3 days in a row.
which I blogged about, but it's not a strong "I've been meaning to" blog. It might be more about the 30 day wardrobe fix.

ReplyDeleteOh god thank you thank you. Now I know I am normal. Bless you my child. Ok on a more serious note try and force yourself to sew on the patches. My son had a letter-mans jacket and I NEVER got around to doing it. He's 28 now and a Marine. And wow how I still hate that I never did that.

I love the fact that you are brave enough to be "real" with us and let us know we aren't the only ones like this. I have a friend coming to visit from out of town today and I told her yesterday that we hadn't started cleaning for her family yet - because if we did we would just have to start over again today. My goal is simply to not gross her out...I think that is possible, right?!?

ReplyDeleteI have an old shutter hanging in my hall that's still decorated for Christmas. Every day I tell myself that I've GOT to clear it off.
ReplyDeleteI used to spend a lot of time sewing scout badges on. Have you tried Badge Magic? That way you just iron them on instead of sewing. I think my hubs got it at Walmart. P.S. Our son had his Eagle ceremony a few months ago, and yes, all of his badges/patches were up to date.

ReplyDeleteI also have chairs to recover, a playhouse to paint, GS cookies to finish delivering, and then all of the usual things that never seem to get done (or stay done!).

ReplyDeleteI was praying that you didn't want pics!!! I've been meaning to clear an end table off of magazines and a blood pressure machine, to go through a box of old magazines, to clear off my dresser, and to go through 4 IKEA totes of miscellaneous papers and whatnot from son's school papers from 1st grade (he's in 6th grade now! ha!) to recipes that I've never made and have saved since we left Orlando 16 years ago!). Thanks for posting about "Mean-To's", Lazy Mom!!!
