Lazy Cookie Pie

I don't know about you, but I'm ready for another Lazy Mom Recipe.  And since school is out and kids are home I thought I'd post a recipe from lazy mom Erin that she says is "a sure fire dessert that is fun to make with kids."

So let's get to it! Cause I sure could use a sure fire dessert right now. Oh, and some fun with my kids.

Lazy Cookie Pie

You will need one package of Chips Ahoy or other suitable cookies (we have done it with Heath chip cookies, and I think it would work with Oreos too!), milk, whipped cream (thawed - try chocolate for a great flavor variation!) and a pre-made graham cracker or shortbread crust (because seriously? Do you really have time to crush graham crackers?).

Instructions: Pour milk into a bowl. Dip the cookies two at a time in the milk and layer in the bottom of the crust. (Don't leave them in there too long or else they will fall apart to mush in the milk).

See those little spaces in between cookies? Dip a cookie and crumble it up in between (because I want my pie stuffed with cookies!).

In between each layer, spread some whipped cream around. Feel free to add more chocolate chips or heath bits or whatever, or nothing if you like.

Continue layering the milk soaked cookies and whipped cream for at least three layers (but I usually go four).

Finish with whipped cream. Take two more cookies dipped in milk and crumble on top. That's it. Put it in the refrigerator to mesh together for a few hours.

While you are waiting eat the rest of the cookies with the remaining milk.

Oh my dear heavens.  I think we should all thank Erin for this amazingly sinful recipe and pray that God can forgive her for sharing it with us.

Amen.
