Last weekend I announced on facebook and twitter that I was going to conduct a secret test. You all were going to be taking the test without knowing it.
And congratulations! You all passed!!
BUT, there was also a secret winner.
That's right, I said a secret winner.
Yup, I was all "Willy Wonka" like - there was a secret test and nobody knew there were taking the test, or that there would be a winner! Muahahaha!
So what was the test? The test was that I had switched (for this week ONLY) to a summary of my blog posts. What that means is that those who subscribe to my blog via reader or email only saw a summary of my blog post instead of seeing the entire post like they normally do.
It looked a little something like this...
And I knew, just KNEW there would be an outcry against me for changing to a summary like this, but surprisingly there wasn't!
Then today, this very morning I check my email and there was a lone email from an I'm a Lazy Mom reader saying, "I love your site, but I really dislike that you switched to the ...read more, click on my blog, style of posting. This is enough for me to unsubscribe."
And you know what?! SHE'S THE WINNER OF MY TEST!! She was the first person to say something about my temporary switch to summary posts!
So what did she win? She won a $10 gift card to wherever she wants! Just for me annoying her this week!! Woot! Woot!!
And for the rest of you who didn't like that I had summary posts this week, don't worry, they stop today!
This was a test. This blog was conducting a test of the Summary Blog Post System. I repeat, this was only a test.

Phew! I was thinking about unsubscribing and was sad about it, but too lazy to click on my google reader and come over to say so!
ReplyDeleteyou are crazy! lol and love the radio player on your sidebar... :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad I said something, but for what it is worth,I wouldn't actually unsubscribe! I love this blog too much. :) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI hate them t oo, but complaining is too much work, LOL! There are posts that if they were in my feed in their entriety (read: this one) I would click to leave a comment, but I won't click to read it. Why? No idea. LOL. I don't unsubscribe either though, I'm lazy, remember. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe summary didn't both me at all. I thought it was a good idea because then you can better track the number of readers on your blog.
ReplyDeleteFor the record....I noticed....but my mama taught me if you don't have anything nice to say...don't say anything at all. I was usin my manners! ;0)
ReplyDeleteBoo!! I missed it. Sorry I didn't notice but I deleted most of your emails last week. GASP! Horrible week, daycare issues and such. SO
ReplyDeleteglad that week is over. Never again will I delete!
You are a brat. Do I know you well enough to call you that? Well I feel like I do so *stick tongue out at you*. Are you encouraging us to complain when we don't like something? hahaha Cause I totally noticed and didn't read those posts. But now I can and I am happy.
