Time to Confess

I waste time playing on the computer or watching shows I have DVR'ed while the little ones nap. Too many times hubby comes home and sees the house still a mess, dinner not started and I will say, "The baby was teething today and was a total Princess Crankypants, can we just order pizza?" I can't get off with the teething one too much longer she just turned 2. My days of being super lazy are getting shorter. ~Lisa

I have to confess that I really can be a lazy mom sometimes. I read about having the tv tuned to cartoons, cereal ready etc. so you can get a couple minutes (or hour) of extra rest, and I already do all that. But sometimes when I want some MORE time to myself (this includes going to the bathroom alone, doing my devotions, ready Lazy Mom tips, etc), I send my 3 yr. old into his little brother's room (16 mos) to play with him in his crib. He takes a few baby toys with him. I can hear them through the monitor if anything were to happen (haha) but they usually play happily for 30 minutes or so. If my 3 year old doesn't want to play with him, I can always bribe him with candy or money! So there you have it. I definitely have the Lazy gene. ~Sara

Confession: When my kids were little, they were delivered on the front porch one at a time. The stork got kinda side-tracked and brought ALL three basically TWO years apart. To keep my sanity, they all took afternoon naps, while I hunkered down on my bed holding the latest and greatest mystery novel.

If any one kid, regardless who, dared to bother me, I had a secret weapon. I kept a wet washrag on my nightstand. When the little imps appeared, I would scrub their faces with that rag. PRESTO, back to bed they went.
