We're Almost Home

Tomorrow evening we will be home.

And even though I keep yelling, "Noooo! You can't make me go home!!! You. Can't. Make. MEEEE!" at the dear people who work at the awesome Wyndham hotels we've been staying at throughout our trip, they still keep making me leave.

Those pesky little dear people who work at awesome Wyndham hotels.....

I mean, would you want to leave the lovely goodness that is THIS???

And the lovely goodness of having your bed made for you?
And the lovely goodness of free hot breakfast every morning that you didn't have to make?
And the lovely goodness of all the free fountain drinks and cappuccinos your little heart desires any time day or night, which is a perk at this Wingate?

Because I don't want to.  And I may duct tape myself to the bed here in this South Charleston Wingate by Wyndham hotel room tomorrow so they can't make me this time.

Doh!

Guess I should have packed duct tape.

In other news, today is Lazy Dad's birthday!!

That's right.  Lazy Dad turns another year older and wiser too.

Well, at least another year older anyway. *wink*

Thanks to Kara at Wyndham (Hi Kara!) I was hooked up with a great cake company in the area called Frutcake that makes organic cakes!  And they were so wonderful and delivered a cake to our hotel room all ready and waiting there to greet Lazy Dad upon our arrival.

I think he was surprised.  Because I think this is his surprised face.  Although, it's hard to tell his faces apart since they all kind of look the same.

But at least our 8 year old shows lots of emotion on his behalf.

Happy birthday Lazy Dad!  You make every day an adventure!

And I make every one of your adventurous days gorgeous.
And lazy.
And a bit dramatic.
And maybe a little unnecessarily emotional.

You're welcome.

Wingate by Wyndham is a Disney Road Trip Sponsor of I'm a Lazy Mom, but I wrote this blog post on my own free will.  And, okay, out of my sheer desperation of wanting to move in and live in a Wyndham hotel. The end.

  1. yes, his face is usually the same. :) unless he realizes the danger of duct taping grown men to picnic tables wayyyy after the point of stopping and yells for backup with fear and trembling in his voice! but that never happened, did it? :)

  2. You make me giggle! I can relate to the "I think this is his surprised face, because all of his faces look the same" thing! I'm SURE it's a north/south thing! Those northern boys need to get in touch with their inner over-dramatic sides! =)
