I'm a Hooky Player

So I played hooky two days this week on my blog.

And you know what? I liked it.  I liked it a lot.

But don't worry, I'm back today with a post and new stories coming soon.

OHMYGOSH.

Do you know what I just realized?!

Next week is my Lazy Mom Christmas Cookie week here on the ol' blog!!

Eek!  Here I was thinking I had another week in there somewhere.  Whoops!

So. I NEED YOUR LAZY CHRISTMAS COOKIE RECIPES ASAP!  Email them to me, preferably with pictures so I don't have to steal some off the internet somewhere, so I can share them with all the beautiful lazy moms out there in the world next week, mkay?

No really.

Do that ASAP.

Even if you don't have pictures.

I was going to make a cute little Lazy Mom Christmas Cookie week button for it and stuff.  It's been on my "to do" list for a while now.  See?

Isn't my little computer post-it note cute?

But judging from the contents of it, I apparently don't pay much attention to it's cuteness.  *ahem*

Speaking of hooky, the ol' fam and I are headed to a hockey game tonight.  (Those aren't really related, but they are in my head.)

In other news, I'm going on a "Mystery Date" with Lazy Dad tomorrow night.  He invited me to it on Google Calendar.

What? That's how we ask each other out... make each other aware of upcoming events... make plans the other needs to know about.... Google Calendar.

When the invite came to my email inbox for the "Mystery Date" I hovered over the "yes" button for a second and then decided at the last minute to click on, "maybe."

When Google Calendar told him my response was tentative, he emailed me back with, "Tentative?"

And I emailed him back with, "What? I might be busy."

I like messing with him.

In other, other news, today is the Lazy Mom Radio Show!  I'm having special guest JulieAnn Pratt on the show with me today!  We're going to be talking about how to teach our kids to show thanks and why that's important.  She's got some great ideas I can't wait for you to hear!  Be sure and tune in!

And now comes the time where I leave you till I write again.

How 'bout I leave you with a great Lazy Mom Tip for new moms to make our parting less sweet sorrow for you?

Okay?

Okay.
I am a mother to a 6 year old and a 6 week old! A time saving trick I discovered about a week ago, I can use the car's heater to both dry my hair and heat up a baby bottle if I put the baby bottle in the cup holder. (I felt pretty amazing discovering this!) I was able to leave the house on time and have a warmed up bottle when I got to church... It's the little things in life. ~Misty P.

  1. Funny you should mention Christmas cookies. I thinking about all the cookies my mom used to make when we were kids....counted up 17 different kinds she made EVERY Christmas! That didn't count candies and breads either. Everybody who came to the house left with a tray full of goodies.

I don't make nearly that many but I love making trays of goodies to share with my neighbors & friends! Gotta go see now if any of them are Lazy Cookies!
