Lazy Mom Christmas Cookie Week: Christmas White Trash Mix

Lazy Mom Christmas Cookie Week is coming to an end today.

Try not and cry.

Or be mad at me for making you jiggle more in life this week.

But even though our sweet time is coming to an end, never fear!  I'm not going to leave you with one last Christmas treat today, I'm leaving you with THREE of them.  (What was that about jiggling?)

I'll be posting another lazy sweet treat this afternoon and one this evening to wrap up our week of sweetness together!

Aren't you so glad you read this blog?

To kick off the end of our cookie week together I just had to share with you all a Christmas treat my mother-in-law makes every year.  She says she only makes it at Christmas because she ends up eating most of it herself!  (A woman after my own heart.)  She also likes to put them into Christmas containers, baggies or on trays when they go visiting at Christmas time cause they make a nice little yummy gift.

Christmas White Trash Mix

1 medium bag of M&M’s (regular or peanut or whatever kind you like)
1 medium bag or jar of peanuts (or mixed nuts or whatever you like)
1 medium bag of pretzels
About 3 or 4 cups of Fruit Loops
2 pounds of white chocolate (or two bags of white chocolate chips)

Mix everything but the chocolate in a really big mixing bowl.  Melt the chocolate by putting it in a bowl in the microwave for a couple of minutes, do not over melt, though! Stir chocolate till smooth, then pour over the mixed ingredients.

Mix together carefully. Have wax paper down to put the mixture out on, about 4 good size sheets. After you have mixed, put it on the wax paper right away because it will start to get solid. Spread it out as far as you can, because it will give you more, yum, yum!!!

Let sit for about an hour, you can put it in the refrigerator, or if it is cold where you live (we live in Wisconsin) you can put it outside!  Then break into pieces and keep in a air tight container.

Mm, mm. I'm glad my mother-in-law is coming for Christmas.  She can make us this while I'm busy laying on the couch.

Oh, and did you catch that part at the end where she says you can let this cool outside if you live somewhere cold?  That's still really weird to me even after 11 years of being in their family.  But you know what? If you think of winter as one big gigantic refrigerator at your disposal, it does make for a nice bit of added space in the winter time!

Have I mentioned Wisconsin people act like their from another planet?

(Sorry Wisconsin people.  But it's true.)

Stay tuned for two more Lazy Mom Christmas Cookie Week treats later today!

And if you hear of rioting in Wisconsin over somebody's blog post today, you never read this, mkay?
