This weekend Lazy Dad did something beautiful.
This...
It was so beautiful it made me tear up.
You see, on Pinterest I found a recipe for that beautiful creature above and I tagged Lazy Dad in it and begged him to please make me this (he's the cook in our family, I gave up years ago due to lack of ability and compliments).
So last Saturday morning I awoke to a beautiful smell. The smell of that beautiful creature baking in the oven. I was hopeful it was in fact this beauty he was making, but I wasn't sure until I
This recipe has 6 ingredients. But the 6th ingredient is optional, so I'm still counting this as a Lazy Mom Recipe. Besides this recipe is truly a lazy way to make sticky buns y'all.
The original recipe can be found on All Things Delicious where she has lots more pictures of the process in case you get confused. I've only tweaked her recipe just a bit to make it a bit more straightforward.
You ready? Here it is!
Lazy Sticky Buns (aka: Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring)
2 small tubes refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 C. pancake syrup
1/3 C. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 C. chopped pecans (optional)
Spray a bundt cake pan with non-stick spray. Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl and set aside. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts (if desired).
Place about half of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan. Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top of it.
Lay the biscuits on the bottom of the pan, overlapping them (closely together) to form a ring. They will all kind of look like they are standing on their sides when you're done.
Top with remaining syrup and sugar mixtures.
Bake at 375° for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute in the pan, then invert onto a serving platter.
Y'all. These were delicious! And literally were gone in about 5 minutes flat! I highly recommend these for Christmas morning, but you might need to make a couple of them to feed more than five people!
Mm, mm, mm!
