Stuff I Done Did over Thanksgiving

Ahhh, Thanksgiving.  One of my favorite holidays.  What's not to love?  A whole holiday weekend dedicated to sharing what you're thankful for?  Love it!

Here's some stuff I done did over Thanksgiving....

My long lost brother and his family finally arrived at my house on Tuesday at 1:30am.  I was jarred out of sleep by my brother whispering, "Hellooooo! We're here!" Bleary eyed I took in the sight of 6 people standing at our bedroom door smiling ear to ear.  I got out of bed to welcome them and we effectively woke up the whole household (other than Lazy Dad), so we stayed up till 3am talking before settling in for the night.  Well, what was left of it.

After their arrival the rest of the holiday weekend was a whirlwind...

We made toffee.

We saw movies.

We watched a 5k.

That's my 10yo in the hoodie finishing the race!

We served Thanksgiving Dinner at our church with lots of stellar volunteers.

We scoured ads.

We gawked at all the people that love Black Friday shopping as much as we do.

We laughed at the poor people that were lined up at Old Navy. (Excuse my dumb comments and commentary. I was high on deals and delirious from lack of sleep.)




We shopped till we dropped.

My sis-in-law peeking over the bags.

We had girl time.

freshly painted nails.

We had boy time.

hockey game.

We went tree hunting.

We decorated for Christmas.

We did our first family activity using Thriving Family's Advent Calendar.

And we had lots and lots and lots and LOTS of fun doing it all together!

Phew!
