My dear sweet auntie emailed my sister and I via my mom and dad (it's complicated) a very lazy recipe for Lemon Bars.
Now, I'm not a BIG Lemon Bars fan, but I'm sure I could eat a couple before I refused anymore. I mean, I jiggle people. And it's not because I don't eat things I shouldn't.
So. Thank you dear sweet auntie! And lazy moms everywhere will thank you as well, cause this recipe is the epitome of LAY. Z. Just two ingredients!
Lazy Lemon Bars
One 16oz angel food cake mix
One 15oz can of lemon pie filling
Mix ingredients together and bake in a 9x13 cake pan at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. As they are cooling, you can sprinkle with powder sugar if you wish.

Clean up on aisle five!
*Note: I've had a few people mention to me that their attempts at this recipe did not turn out! I don't know what the issue is, but please be advised that there have been some issues!

Texture was disappointing. Maybe a little too lazy...if there is such a thing. :-)
ReplyDeleteI baked this last night to take to a pot luck today. I baked it for about 23 min, turned off the oven left it in for about 10 mins, took out and let cool sprinkled powdered sugar. This morning I cut it, of course I had to taste it. It is so good. I used Comstock Original Lemon Creme, it was perfect. I will be making this again.
