A while back... okay a long while back, I got a great tip sent in to me by lazy mom Anne. It involved portable breakfasts (breakfasts'? breakfastses? breakfastssssss?) in edible containers.
This great tip got buried in my inbox and I just recently recovered it from the belly of the beast (my email). I had forgotten what a great idea it was and I could hardly ignore it when I extracted the email from the great depths of my inbox because it jumped out and screamed, "I'M LAZY MOM FRIENDLY! Please release me from this deep, dark place and set me free!" all while waving it's hands frantically over it's head.
And so I have taken pity on this tip and I'm finally sharing it with all of you so as to set it free in the world of the internet where it can go on and live forever.
*ahem*
Take it away Anne!
For an easy-to-clean-up breakfast for the kiddos either at home or on the go, make some instant oatmeal in a large measuring cup. When ready, pour into ice cream cones (the kind with the flat bottoms work best). Kids can top their oatmeal with raisins, coconut flakes, mini-marshmallows, or even a few sprinkles, just like at an ice-cream sundae bar. After all, the more fun their breakfast is, the more likely they are to actually ingest some of it! When they've finished eating, there are no kitchen bowls to wash nor are there messy paper bowls to gather up in the car and toss (if they've eaten en route to school). Edible bowls, what could be lazier?!
I couldn't agree more! This is truly a great lazy breakfast idea for busy lazy moms. Thanks Anne for sending it in!

Super idea!
ReplyDeleteIt's not so lazy, but more healthy: wheat waffles frozen in a muffin tin.
