This weekend we took the kids sledding.
There wasn't a ton of snow on the hill we like to go to, but there was enough.
The kids had a ton of fun.
And I can just image the conversation in this picture.
"Sup?" "Sup." "So, what kind of board you ridin'?"
They sled (sledded? slided?) down that hill over and over for an hour.
Till they were exhausted, cold and thirsty.
And, uh, just where was Lazy Dad and I during all of this?
Ummmm, we were watching from here.
And doing stuff like this.
What?
It was cold.
And my electric blanket was at home.
And like you don't act like a lazy parent every once in a while yourself! So there.

I watch best from the car.......
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteThis made my day!!! There's somebody else out there like me!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have done some of my best parenting from the front seat of a car whilst listening to my radio. I can do a mean knock on the window followed by a finger wave that speaks volumes! :) Seriously though, I usually end up feeling bad that their memory of this "event" will not include me in the thick of it....
ReplyDeleteVery true! And good point. I don't want them to remember the fuddy-duddy parents in the car in their memories either, so I DID get out and take those pictures and every once in a while Lazy Dad gets out and goes down the hill with them several times. Then we retreat! :)
