SurfShelf {Giveaway}

A while ago I saw a news segment about companies that had changed their offices from traditional desks to something called treadmill desks.  These treadmill desks were decked out just like a regular work desk, having desktop space on either side of the treadmill for paperwork, a computer in the middle and a headset for the phone.

The employees did all their work at these treadmill desks by walking at a very slow 1 mile an hour, which doesn't sound like a lot until you stop and think about it.... That means that by the end of a traditional work day these people could be walking up to 7 miles!  Needless to say, the employees started dropping weight and loved the new treadmill desks. 

So I thought to my lazy self when I saw this news segment, "Lazy self! You work on a computer most of the day, why not look into these treadmill desks so you can walk while you work and drop some pounds too?"

So I took my lazy self's advice and I looked up treadmill desks.  And you know what I found?  You'd have to be a lot richer than I am to buy one!  These bad boys can be up to $4,000!

So then I retold my lazy self, "Lazy self! You already have a treadmill in your basement, why don't you find something that will let you use your laptop while you walk on it?"

So I took my lazy self's new advice and went Googling.  And you know what I found?

I was SUPER excited to find SurfShelf!  An affordable way to use your laptop on any treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, or pretty much whatever fitness machine you use (or, if you're like me, should be using)!

As soon as I discovered SurfShelf and saw that it was only $39.95 on Amazon, I yanked one off of there so fast I didn't even have time to blink! 

Besides, it was a Christmas present to myself that I informed Lazy Dad he was now giving me.

The SurfShelf is a sturdy polycarbonate plastic that can hold up to 60 pounds and works with any laptop on the market! It even works with an iPad for all you iPad people out there!

Most people buy the SurfShelf for the entertainment factor.  They can watch movies, catch up on TV shows, surf the web, etc.  So Randy, the super nice creator of SurfShelf, also started a fun website called iN-Gym to house tons of stuff to entertain yourself with as you exercise!

But me? I bought mine so I could walk at a slow pace as I work like the people in that news segment I saw, and guess what?  I'm walking over 2 miles a day!  That's right people... I'm walking at about 1.5 miles per hour and logging over 2 miles a day as I check my email and do some of my work right on my treadmill, when before I was sitting that whole time.  LOVE IT!

Plus, if you don't own exercise equipment at home, you can easily take it to the gym! It folds up and fits easily in a gym bag!
