A pastor's wife I met once told me how she keeps a spray bottle of water and a comb/brush in her van so that she doesn't have to worry about the kid's hair before they leave the house. When they get to their destination she can fix hair if needed! ~ Hannah
I am planning a trip with my two young girls (2yrs and 6months). I was DREADING packing for them then had what I thought was a great idea. Since I also hate putting away laundry I just packed for them as I was folding their laundry. I figured favorite outfits would probably be in that stack any way and then I wouldn’t go through the trouble of putting all the clothes away just to get them back out for the trip! ~ Elizabeth
Here's a tip we use in our home: mark the "TV watching line" on the carpet about four feet from the TV with painter's tape. The TV stays off (or gets shut off) if they are in front of that line. ~ Michelle C.
This is a tip for moms who want to protect the finish on a table from craft projects! Buy a cheap vinyl tablecloth to use just for crafts. You can wipe off glue and paint, shake off glitter and protect your table from Play-Doh. And at the same time, it will allow you to stop stressing about ruining the furniture and instead focus on letting your toddler express his unique and sometimes messy creative genius. ~ Kristen (via Sarah)

I keep party tablecloths after the kids parties... then we use them for craft projects to protect the table or when the boys are helping me bake!
