Da da da Daaaaaaaa!!! [That’s my horn fanfare sound]
Preeeesenting, another fabulous Lazy Mom Tip! [This is where you go wild out in the crowd]
This is a tip I’m sure most of you lazy mom’s out there already use. It’s called “double-the-dinner-that-you’re-making-tonight-and-freeze-the-other-portion-for-later” tip.
Pictured above is a frozen pan of goulash. Several weeks ago I was in a cooking mood. Something that is all too rare for me – ME actually WANTING to cook. Usually I just force myself to do it even though I want to go hide somewhere and escape the thought that dinner time is approaching. Come on now, who’s with me on that?
Well this one day, I was in a cooking mood. So I said to myself, “Self. We should take full advantage of this rare moment and double tonight’s meal and freeze the extra portion for another inevitable night when I WON’T be in a cooking mood.” My self totally agreed, so that’s what we did.
Have I totally confused you? The tip is this: whenever you are making dinner for your family double everything and freeze half of it for another night! Got it? Good.
