When I saw this applesauce recipe HIT my inbox something fierce from Sarah M., I knew I had to share it with you immediately! Despite all the other things I want to tell you, the posts I’m behind on, the funny stories I want to share, this, my dear lazy moms, HAD to take precedence.
Especially since Fall is going to be here before you know it. And cold weather. And fresh, crisp apples. Mmm… apples…..
Push up your lazy mom sleeves, and put this lazy recipe on your Fall to-do list!
Crock Pot Applesauce
8 medium apples, peeled, cored, and cut into quarters (galas & fujis have great flavor)
1/3 c. water
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4-1/2 tsp. cinnamon or apple pie spice
1/2 tbsp. honey
Add all ingredients to crock pot and cook for 4 hours on high. Leave chunky or use blender to smooth the sauce. For sweeter sauce, add brown sugar to taste.
Thanks Sarah for sending this in!
