With the new year upon us, many have made a renewed effort to lose weight. So I’m TRYING to be good and not post a Lazy Mom Recipe that will send you all scrambling to the grocery store, pushing down people in the baking aisle and tearing open packages of chocolate chips with your teeth and dumping the contents down your throat.
I’m thinking of you here, people. YOU, not me. Mkay?
So. Today I thought I’d share with you a fun way to make popcorn sent in by lazy mom Elaine that would be a delightful and healthy snack.
Lunch Sack Popcorn
Brown paper lunch sack
Put 1/3 cup popcorn in the paper sack. Fold down the top a few times (some people tape it a bit) and put it in microwave for 2-3 minutes. Cook until you hear the popcorn slow down popping. Take out and put in bowl or enjoy right out of the bag!
Obviously you can add butter, seasonings or salt to the popcorn, but then it wouldn’t be as healthy, now would it? And again, I’m trying to be good for YOUR sakes here people.
You could make individual bags per child in your house and write their names on the front of the bags. This could be fun for a party or sleepover! Because each child could decorate their bag and add their favorite seasonings to theirs after it’s popped (we like Kernel Season’s seasonings ’round these parts).
Or you could make big batches of popcorn for family movie night by using a big brown paper grocery sack instead!
Thanks Elaine for sending this in for us!
