**This is NOT a sponsored post, I just HAD to share!**
This weekend I shared with you all my best Lazy Mom Disney tips. If you have a good one to share, go leave a comment on that post!
But I also just have to share with you all the two highlights of our trip there this year!
So let’s get to it!
First Highlight: Did you know that Walt Disney World is in the process of opening a new resort called The Art of Animation? Well they are! And while we were there they had opened the Finding Nemo wing AND the Cars wing! Check out these awesome pictures y’all!!!!
The whole cars wing of the Art of Animation Resort is like you have stepped in to Radiator Springs!
My kids just about died! (and okay, us adults did too!)
All of the main characters are in “Radiator Springs” to get your picture taken with, as well!
There is even Luigi’s tire shop to stop by!
The kids were in Cars heaven. Especially when they saw Lightning McQueen and Sally!
And what was really cute, was right in the middle of this wing is Sally’s Cozy Cone Motel!
Which, if you walk through it, takes you to a small pool with cone “bungalows!” TOO CUTE!
Walking around the Cars wings of Disney World’s new resort was truly a highlight of our trip!
And the Finding Nemo wing of this resort is just as cute! Here’s a few pictures to whet your whistle.
Okay, now on to the second highlight of our trip and our FAVORITE thing we did while we were at Disney World… Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner!
Not only did we get to hang out with Cinderella at this buffet style dinner….
…but my daughter (the only girl in our party at that time) was BESIDE HERSELF when she got to meet Prince Charming!
And then she JUST ABOUT DIED when she got to dance with him!!!
And okay, I might have jumped up from my chair, hung myself on his arm and said for all to hear, “I’ve finally met Prince Charming!”
And then I may or may not have asked him to spin me around.
Which he did.
And I giggled like a 7 year old girl.
But while I was busy entertaining Prince Charming, Lazy Dad was busy meeting Cinderella.
HEY! Back off Cinderella! You’ve already got one Prince Charming… this one’s MINE!
And while we had a lot of fun interacting with these two characters, the BEST was yet to come!
Yes, Cinderella’s evil step-mother strolled by! And SHE. WAS. FABULOUS.
Even my brother had to hop up and flirt talk with her.
We had SO much fun with her.
Plus I loved her jewelry.
But as much fun as we had with her, the BEST fun was with Cinderella’s step-sisters!
They’re loud and obnoxious and yell across the dining room.
I could relate to them on so many levels.
|See that look of sheer glee on my daughter’s face? Priceless!|
But out of the two step-sisters I could ESPECIALLY relate to Anastasia.
She was MOST entertaining! And we just about laughed ourselves silly when we saw how she signed the autograph books.
So incredibly lady-like.
Lazy Dad LOVED picking on her. They quickly formed a love-hate relationship… they loved to hate each other.
Here she is getting on to him after he complained she took so long to come around to our table.
And here she is yelling at him from another table when he wouldn’t STOP messing with her even after she had left our table.
Yup. I can SO relate to her.
At one point while Cinderella and Prince Charming are dancing and the step-sisters have no one to dance with, Lazy Dad waved his hand at her to offer his dancing assistance. They entertained our entire area of the dining room, but I only caught the last few seconds of it (when he dipped her at the end! HA!) and oh, how I WISH I had this on video, but I was across the room video tapping my daughter dancing with Prince Charming!
Leave it to Lazy Dad to steal the show from his daughter’s happiest Disney moment.
But such fun memories were made!
