Did you know that probably the laziest classic Thanksgiving recipe out there is Green Bean Casserole?
It seriously didn’t need any modifying to be a Lazy Mom Thanksgiving Recipe because it’s been one for years.
I knew I loved you for a reason, you Green Bean Casserole, you. And it’s not just because you taste good… it’s because your easy enough that even a lazy mom can make you. Whether she’s lazy because she’s tired, stressed-out, over-worked or whatever. Yes, my love for you has gone up several notches my dear friend. Several. Notches. So we thank you Green Bean Casserole. We thank you.
*claps hands together*
Let’s get to it.
Green Bean Casserole
2 cans (14.5 oz each) French-style green beans, drained
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
1 can (2.8 oz) French-fried onions
Heat oven to 350°F.
In 1 1/2-quart casserole or glass baking dish, mix green beans, soup and milk.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes, topping with onions during last 5 minutes of baking, until bubbly.
Now THAT’S what I call a lazy recipe! 5 ingredients or less AND less than 5 steps! Wooo-hooo!
