On Friday we had a guest blogger in the house who I lovingly dubbed a “Lazy Mom in Waiting” because she’s due with her first baby this month.
I have to say, I am so loving that little title I gave her – “Lazy Mom in Waiting.” Because she fully intends to be a Lazy Mom once that little pumpkin makes his big arrival.
In fact, I love that little title so much I’ve been thinking about making a whole section of my blog dedicated to the Lazy Moms in Waiting out there. You know, those who have yet to have kids, or are expecting them real soon.
But alas, that’s about as far as I got with that idea.
Too bad someone more website savvy isn’t running this blog. I bet they could make my little thought become a reality. And all the other gazillion thoughts I have for this lazy, lazy website as well. But then again, they may hate me for it because not all of my ideas are good ones and I don’t really realize this until I start working on them.
So for now, we’ll just call all you expectant mothers and mothers-to-be-eventually, Lazy Moms in Waiting and leave it at that, mkay?
By now you are surely wondering what is the POINT of this post. Because if you aren’t there may be something a little not quite right about you. I’m just sayin’.
Well I’ll tell you the point of this post.
When Lazy Mom in Waiting (have I told you I love that?) Abigail posted on our blog on Friday she sent out a little plea for new mom advice. And I also encouraged you to leave her some because there MAY have possibly been a prize for the best advice given.
“MAY” being the key word there.
And if you left some advice you MAY have done the right thing. Because I’ve since decided that I AM giving away a small prize for the best advice left.
If you haven’t read the lovely advice given you simply must by going to the original post and scroll all the way down to the bottom to read the comments. They were all fabulous and I appreciated and agreed with every one of them (because that’s the most important thing in life… that I appreciate and agree with them, right?)
It was very difficult for me to narrow it down to one winner, but alas I finally went with lazy mom Karen’s advice because she left so much of it and I love her for it.
Every one else totally deserved a prize as well, but seeing that I am unfortunately not a millionaire yet or have my house paid off or have that silly littlle thing called “sending three kids to college” to do eventually, it’s just not possible.
However I have to give a big honorable mention to Diane’s advice because I couldn’t have agreed with her more and it may have possibly made me tear up when I read it. Not sure why, but it MAY have, mkay? So thanks Diane for leaving that stellar advice and a big thank you to all the rest of you ladies that took the time to leave advice for Lazy Mom in Waiting Abigail. She enjoyed every morsel of it!
Karen, you are now the proud owner of a $5 gift card to Starbucks! Please email me your address at imalazymom(at)gmail.com!
Until we meet again. Adios!
