If you’ve hung out at I’m a Lazy Mom for any length of time, then you know what a hotel junkie I am.
I can’t help it! I LOVE me a good clean hotel and the way my bed magically gets remade all by itself! It just makes me all happy inside.
I mentioned to you in a previous post that I was going to be traveling to a huge blogging conference in Chicago, and I did. And I’m here to tell you that I have found THE hotel to stay at in Chicago. So if you have ANY plans to visit the lovely windy city at any point in your lifetime, please pay attention! You absolutely must stay here:
It’s connected by skywalks to probably the most ginormous convention center I’ve ever seen ever.
This Hyatt just underwent a $110 million renovation. It looks amazing, inside and out.
Speaking of inside…. let me show you the Executive Suite.
(Yes, I swoon over hotel rooms, don’t you?)
And speaking of swooning, I completely swooned over this walk in closet!
Yes, I totally had closet envy!
But while Lazy Dad and I were checking out this fabulous room, something else captured our attention outside the panoramic windows.
It was drop jaw beautiful, my lazy people. The pictures don’t even do it justice!
We had a panoramic view from South Chicago all the way to Lake Michigan. AMAZING!
I can’t even tell you how often we just stood at our wall of windows and did this.
And sat at them and did this.
In fact, when the sun went down and realized that the view would be lit up in lights, we turned all the lights off in our hotel room, turned the chairs around to face the window and just sat there in the dark eating a plate of cheese and crackers that was sent up for us while looking at this.
Again, this picture does no justice.
This view was so amazing partly due to the fact that Chicago may be the most architecturally beautiful city in America.
And Lake Michigan is just gorgeous!
(I also had Great Lake envy… how can Lake Michigan be SO different from nasty Lake Erie?)
Lazy Dad and I frequent Chicago pretty often, but we hadn’t been back down to Navy Pier since our drive back from our honeymoon.
It was such a beautiful day to stroll along the pier.
But, back to Hyatt McCormick. You simply MUST STAY HERE!!!
